Media Riset Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (MRKMI)
Media Riset Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia (MRKMI) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism in all its forms and applies systematic screening procedures to ensure the authenticity of submitted manuscripts.
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin or equivalent plagiarism detection software. The screening process compares submitted manuscripts against a comprehensive database of academic publications, web content, and other relevant sources.
Authors’ Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly cited, and ethically prepared. By submitting a manuscript to MRKMI, authors confirm that:
- The manuscript is an original work and has not been published elsewhere.
- All sources, including text, data, images, tables, and figures, are appropriately cited.
- Any reuse of previously published material is properly acknowledged and permitted.
Forms of Plagiarism
- Direct copying of text without proper citation.
- Inadequate paraphrasing or close imitation of another author’s work without acknowledgment.
- Self-plagiarism, including redundant or duplicate publication without proper disclosure.
- Unauthorized use of images, tables, figures, or other visual materials.
Editorial Assessment and Actions
If potential plagiarism is identified at any stage of the editorial process, the editorial team will assess the case in accordance with established ethical guidelines and publishing best practices.
- Minor similarity issues may result in a request for revision and clarification.
- Substantial plagiarism may lead to rejection of the manuscript.
- In cases of confirmed serious misconduct, the editorial board may take further actions in line with ethical publishing standards.
Appeal Process
Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions related to plagiarism. Appeals must be submitted in writing and supported by a clear explanation or relevant evidence. All appeals will be reviewed by the editorial board, and the decision following the appeal process is final.
Policy Review and Updates
MRKMI regularly reviews and updates its plagiarism policy to align with international best practices and ethical guidelines in scholarly publishing. Authors are encouraged to consult the most recent version of this policy prior to submission.
